Book

So true...
I have been enjoying many Book lately. I was working my way through a variety of fantasy and non-fiction and got majorly sucked into Into Thin Air by Jon Krakauer. I'd read Into the Wild (and watched the movie) and so I thought I'd give the other book a try. That set off a cascade of Mt. Everest-related books and DVDs in rapid succession. I watched season one (and I am 6/8 through season 2) of Everest: Beyond the Limit by the Discovery Channel, the Everest IMAX movie, and read another couple Everest books. Very quickly. If you need a reason to not climb Mt. Everest, read High Crimes: The Fate of Everest in an Age of Greed. Another book that I thought was great was The Center Cannot Hold: My Journey Through Madness by Elyn R. Saks. It will make you VERY glad that you do not have schizophrenia! It is amazing what she has accomplished in her life despite intense psychotic episodes (example: while having an episode, she thinks she can and has killed thousands of people with her thoughts). It was well-written and very interesting.

I'm going to Austin on Wednesday to spend time with Cousin Lisa and the kiddos - yay!
